Is it just me or is this a terrible 'after' style? This was shown at the point of sale to get you to sign up for clothing advice. I would never, it put me right off. Maybe I filled out the styling questionnaire wrong!

I like thr after, she looks richer and like she has it together.

fallingupwards · 31/01/2025 08:01

It's like a granny, I chose classic maybe I should have ticked sexy!

It doesn't look dated at all to me - but I've got no idea about trends and couldn't care less about the latest fashion!

Whoopsss · 31/01/2025 08:11

Literally the after look could be worn by 20 something girls but ultimately if you don't like it, you don't like it!

IHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle · 31/01/2025 08:26

I agree OP. It's not so much "styled" as "put on some boring neutrals" (but lay off the "looks like a granny" comments please)

Whoopsss · 31/01/2025 08:37

"Clean girl look" and "chalet look" i think if the oufit was on a young woman with those slick buns/middle parting hairstyles it wouldn't look so Sosander

StarlightLady · 31/01/2025 08:43

But you are neglecting the fact your whole life will turn from black and white to colour😀. I agree with you OP, it seems bloody daft to me.

IHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle · 31/01/2025 08:48

Reddit reviews about this app are scathing. Trustpilot reviews are a collection of reviews which yet again make me question whether Trustpilot can be trusted.

Screamingabdabz · 31/01/2025 08:52

Neither look is particularly nice but at least she looks a bit sultry and like she’s had a windswept liaison in the first one. Boring bridge club and dog walking in the second (with the light on obvs). I don’t get fashion these days, all so ugly. That jacket is truly hideous. Even a model as stunning as her can’t make it look good.

That's so interesting because in the before I see a smelly unwashed depressed mum who was crying. She wears supermarket clothes and eats beans on toast 😂

I bet if you sign up for this you get loads of middle of the road recommendations for "brands" you've never heard of - (not because the brand is a small, niche brand posters on here might tell you about but because it isn't really a brand ) or Lumi's own "exclusive in house brand"

I thought the first looked better. The second one looks like someone wearing supermarket basics because they're neutrals but wouldn't wear say something like the Tu red shoes which have been on few threads or the fabulous Tu black poplin ballerina midi dress which was talked about a few weeks ago because they're a "bit out there"

There's nothing wrong with supermarket basics to serve basic purposes but you hardly need an app for that.

boxyboxs · 31/01/2025 09:25

Well she very attractive so wouldn't be invisible even if she is greyed out!

boxyboxs · 31/01/2025 09:26

I don't like the after look but obviously the fact she has discovered colour helps!

boxyboxs · 31/01/2025 09:28

That jacket is truly hideous.

Yep, it reminds of the ones you find in those little magazines stuffed in the Sunday papers. They've just added a bit of fluff to the collar.

boxyboxs · 31/01/2025 09:29

Neither of these things mean you are stylish or unstylish though. People who are stylish are often that way regardless of their clothes are supermarket or not.

TheOGCCL · 31/01/2025 09:40

The before picture looks more effortless and ageless. Partly as no effort has gone in. She’s a pretty woman with a nice figure so can carry both off. The after is a bit ageing, I think it’s the complete concealment of the neck, the shorter (looking) hair (I say that as someone with short hair) and the jacket is off, there are much nicer versions of both the top and the jacket around. I wonder who Lumi is aimed at. (Never heard of it but off to have a look!).

Whoopsss · 31/01/2025 09:44

Tu has nice things sometimes that's true
To me she looked poor and depressed before.

argyllherewecome · 31/01/2025 10:17

First picture looks she looks great, colour would increase the visibility I think! I prefer the style on the first, the jacket looks a bit try hard and white Range Rover-esque.

MsRinky · 31/01/2025 11:59

The first picture looks like a troubled but brilliant detective in a dark Scandiwegian drama. The second looks like some MAGA trophy wife who gets caught on film being unspeakably racist to a waiter. I don't think I'm their target audience...

boxyboxs · 31/01/2025 12:07

😆😆

Yes, heard. My granny friends are actually super cool and glamorous!
