Spin-off thread- share your supermarket fabulous finds

The jeans thread has raised the question of other fabulous bargains in supermarket clothing lines so I wondered if anyone would like to share theirs?

I have these now but not sure whether to return. For context, I have been stalking New Balance trainers at around the £20 mark on Vinted, but the jumper is a piece of lovely frippery that I absolutely don’t need- but it feels lovely on! Should I keep them or return them? I never usually wear leopard print, ever.

Not to look like a staged Tu shill 😆 but their soft touch hoodies are very cosy for casual days and lovely to touch.

Asda also can have really good basic tops and vests.

I have 4 hoodies which I suspect are there ones - the first one I bought literally every single person I saw complimented me on it! Might have accidentally picked up another the other day - but gutted that our local Sainsbury’s has removed almost all the clothing :-(

eta yes these

You can also order the Tu items through Argos 😀

Ooh I like that! How does the sizing run? I take a size 12 in M& S so would I need a medium?

Left · 01/02/2025 20:22

Ohhhh noooo I knew if I looked at this thread I’d end up on the TU website. Haul on order, will report back on quality and fit 🤣🤣🙈

CurbsideProphet · 01/02/2025 21:10

I ordered the TU rubberised rain coat recommended on the TU thread. I ordered in petite but they sent the normal size... I've decided to keep it as the sleeves aren't too bad and it will be really useful.

AlertCat · 01/02/2025 22:26

Fair play, the design team at Tu earn their salaries.

So many posters singing the praises of Tu. I always imagine the Sainsbury's marketing team sitting in an office writing breathlessly excited replies to each other.

Sainsbury's clothes are surprisingly good.

Shoes are hit and miss for me, but I've been pleased with jeans, coats and undies over the time I've lived in the UK.

Don't like animal primt

Bought a pair of these this afternoon, mentioned on the jeans thread
Buy Red Strap Mary Jane Ballerina Shoes 8 | Workwear | Tu

that photo makes me feel peculiar they are so flat and so much emptiness above the toes 😬 only saying as it’s a stock photo

MalleusMaleficarumm · 01/02/2025 22:46

I too have been influenced and have bought some Tu barrel jeans 😂 I really hope they are good, only cost £11 in the sale!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/02/2025 23:28

Before Christmas I bought a velvet blazer ( the mulberrry had sold out as wine red was the colour) there were matching trousers but I only bought the blazer ( in black)
It will be a staple as it will be wearable forever . I'll take it on holiday with me .

That is lovely , I've just ordered one ( the mocha colour . ) I did like the grey but I think the brown towns are better on me .

I used to have an M&S cardigan in animal years ago that was really nice .

HollyGolightly4 · 02/02/2025 00:07

Gorgeous trousers in today. Sadly none in my size!

Love those trainers. I think I might order a pair. They have an amazing sale online atm. I've placed a big order. These are the bits im looking forward to trying the most. I know the duvet boots aren't the most attractive but my toes get so cold in winter I'm willing to give them a go. I'm thinking they will look okay with skinny jeans or leggings tucked in

I understand what you mean, but I have large wide (very non ballerina) feet, and don't like the wide expanse of my foot that is on show with a more traditionally styled ballerina or mary jane shoe (and lots of sandals)
they arrive tomorrow, looking forward to trying them on.

Every year Tu does some cotton corduroy dresses which I love. They look way more expensive than they are.

I bought one of these on vinted recently and was really excited, but it sadly makes me look like I'm wearing some kind of Victorian fancy dress costume 🙄

Moonshine5 · 04/02/2025 19:05

I've become obsessed

Picoloangel · 04/02/2025 20:13

I love George - some of the quality is hit and miss but more often than not it’s really good quality. Got some gorgeous wide legged khaki cargo jeans last year they are so nice on. Their coats are fab for dog walking and just bought a lovely and v flattering black one piece swimsuit for normal pool
swimming. It was £9 in the sale!
This is the navy
