Help Finding Wedding Guest Dress

Hi,
I have a family wedding to go to in April so on the hunt for a new dress to wear, it’s a registry office ceremony and then a reception at the local pub so I don’t need anything super fancy just nice.
I’m on a really tight budget and hoping to spend under £40 if possible .
Has anyone seen anything lovely recently? I’m a size 16 and avoiding maxi dresses and anything sleeveless. I’ve always been a bit rubbish with clothes so I’m not 100% sure what colours suit but I have darkish hair and fair skin.

I would decide on your favourite brands ( and wishful thinking - those quality brands out if your price range) and style of dress that suits you - and search Vinted for new or once worn ( which event dresses often are).

No idea really if this is suitable or you'll like it, but it's £40, not a maxi, and long sleeves, and they have a 16. Obviously it's not top notch posh but I really like it and I think it could work for a more casual wedding with the right accessories. Any good or am I way off track? 😆

Have a look on Debenham's website, there are loads so use the filter. I recently bought a Jolie Moi dress from there.
