Calling all short pear shaped over 50's - help needed

Hi I would love to find a pair of casual trousers eg Jeans etc. I always seem to wear dresses or skirts because of my short legs and wide thighs. However I sometimes feel over dressed when everyone else is in jeans. Help me find a pair of Jeans or alternative that is flattering as well as comfortable please. I used to wear bootleg jeans in the 2000's however I was 1 1/2 stone lighter and firmer then. I guess I've lost my confidence. Thanks

Have you tried wide leg jeans? I'm taller than you but also pear shaped and have been finding slightly cropped wide legs really flattering. White Stuff have some called Tia (I think) in various colours. I have a black pair that I've worn loads over the autumn and winter and I'm contemplating a stone coloured pair for spring. Might be worth trying!

I wear straight leg jeans. Wide leg jeans or cropped ones just make my legs look even shorter and wider.

I'm pear shaped, short, but also long-bodied. If you're more in proportion the wide legged ones might suit.
