I have a wedding at the end of March and I am looking at a velvet trouser suit. I don't suit dresses at all and I am not keen on jumpsuits. Neither seem to suit my body shape. I have tried and tried but they just don’t work. I have found a navy velvet trouser suit on Sosander but it’s quite expensive. Id likely wear the blazer again but probably not the trousers so I wonder if anyone has seen anything nice but not quite as expensive. Sosander is about £150/£160 for both pieces.
My only other option is a skirt, midi length with a silk blouse but I am concerned I might look like I am going to work in an office? I have the silk blouse so I’d only be looking at getting a skirt. I don’t wear smart stuff that often. Once or twice a year only. My work wear is all corporate provided including high viz and safety boots so not glamorous at all. Looking for inspiration.
