Ski trip

I’m going on a four night ski trip next month.

I’m planning to ski/relax during the day and do apres-ski. However I’m completely stuck on what to wear in the evenings. There will be clubbing!!

I’ve been told boots (timberland type) jeans and jumpers with a top underneath in case I want to take the jumper off. That fine but I’m not sure what style is right, also everything costs a bomb and I doubt I’ll ski again to is it wise to hire everything? And if so where from?

I’m 39 people I’m going with are early 30s.

A lot of apres ski happens when you are still out there on the slopes so you'll be in your ski gear ( always an interesting ski home!!) . Then in the evening, jeans and a top will be fine with boots, the resorts will be snowy (hopefully) so you'll need decent footwear

Smart casual is fine, jeans, top, sweater

I've got snow jacket but it's quite casual. Do I need to bring a puffa jacket type thing for the evenings?

And what type of boots? The same ones I'll walk in during the day?! I was looking at moon boots but they feel very expensive for something I'll only wear for this trip

Just any outdoor waterproof boots. Walking boots, snow boots, nubuck. Ski jacket is fine for evenings, you only need it when going out as everywhere will be well heated or open fired.

It really depends where you’re going and with whom. If you’re off to Verbier with a trendy gang I’d take your puffa and moon boots! If you’re going to somewhere more laid back, ski jacket and any warm boots would be fine.

Oh also — I tend to take a non ski jacket for evenings as I do not like my ski jacket to smell of raclette/fondue etc 😂

Where are you going?
you can get hardly used stuff on vinted, I got some Sorrel boots for example

Thanks for the advice!

We're going to Val Thorens. It's a young, trendy-ish group. I'm tagging along 😂

Val Thorens is not a dressy place so you be fine with either a ski jacket or puffa in the evening. The resort walking paths and roads tend to be clear so you be fine with study shoes or boots. The ski area is fab. Some of the best slopes in Europe
