Simple, classic, neutral stuff?

Off on a holiday for the first time in many many years. Hot, nice hotel - as in quite dressy for dinner.
I don’t really do dressy so will need some mix and match bits. And I’m clueless.
sCotton/linen, floaty, classy but not over fancy? Plain but nice.
i’m 50 ish. Size 10 but saggy (arms and tum).

also need pool, swim suit and lunch throw on type bits. And a hat. (Visions of gliding with big hat, draped in cool neutral linen, not looking like the cat coughed me up)

any suggestions please?

I've been to Valetta and Athens recently in similar hotels. For the evenings I had a strappy cobalt jersey maxidress and a navy jersey maxidress which I wore under a cream linen tiefront cardigan to cover my arms with some simple gold jewellery and gold strappy flat sandals. Both were quite simple but smart (I have long hair so I put it up).

My swim cover up is a muslin tunic from Toast - very cool and if necessary I can just chuck on some linen crops and trainers and head off to sight see in it.

I would pack 2 swimsuits and one cover up. The cover up can also be a linen button up shirt that you can use as an extra layer over a sundress or vest top in the evenings.
Do you wear bikinis? Lands End has both high waist and mid waist bottoms with good coverage, and different styles of tops that mix and match.

I also find a jersey tank dress easy to throw on, doesn't wrinkle and can be worn in the evening with a bit of jewellery and wedge espadrilles.
