Making a silver ring stronger?

I just wanted to ask if there's a way to make my engagement ring more durable? I absolutely love it but with it being silver I've already managed to bend one of the claws and the main stone fell out (6 months in).

I was looking up platinum platinum and wondered if anyone knows whether that would make a difference? A complete reset isn't financially a possibility right now but will be in future

You would get the best advice from a jeweler. Not a high street chain, they just sell stock items; you want a silver/goldsmith working jeweler. It may not be as expensive as you expect.
