I'm 7 months pregnant with an outgrown bob and feeling horribly mumsy. I desperately need a new hairstyle, partly to balance out the hideous maternity clothes!

I have wavy, relatively thick but mid- fine hair. Centre or side parting is fine, and at least when it's short it doesn't tend to need styling. Round to slightly heart shaped face with a big grin and not terribly lady-like or delicate.

When I was young and cool I had bowl cuts, a mullet and fades, but that seems a bit try hard for a closer to 40 than 30 new mum. A pixie cut is just accepting I've turned into my mother though! I've got 7 months maternity leave so am open to growing out something whacky. Can anyone suggest a style-type please please please!

Fringe? Or do you want something more drastic?

I'd suggest something you can still tie back/up once baby is here. You won't want a hairdo that needs a lot of styling

Something a bit more radical I think. A friend had a wolf cut, but I don't think my hair is curly enough. There are so many styles it feels like I need some idea that are a bit more definite to Google. Short is less work than long for me because then it doesn't need brushing!

Tricky. There are some pics I love below, but I’m not sure how either would look without all the highlights and styling, which you may not have time for right now!
