What would you chose?

Of course it's possible to buy jewellery from Accessorize, in the same way it's possible to buy bags from there. But the OP specifically wants to buy a decent pair of earrings and has money allocated to do so.

I'm not into handbags and would probably only spend up to 25 on a bag....that doesn't mean I don't understand that some people will want to spend multiples more on a bag they might keep for 10 years +

I think what the poster meant is that they're so subtle no one else notices them or realises they cost several thousand £.

Maybe that doesn't matter to you. If I were spending £1000 on earrings I would want something which wasn't generic.

NoCheesesForTheMeeces · 26/01/2025 14:14

@IHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle That is indeed what I meant! If I spent that money on earrings, I would want them to be striking and unusual. Diamond studs look pretty similar to me whether they cost £150 or £1500 - call me a philistine if you like. To me it's not even like, say, knitwear, where an expensive jumper might look the same as a cheap one but feel much nicer.

I’d never waste that much money on earrings

It’s not a waste if you love jewellery.

smallsilvercloud · 26/01/2025 14:26

I would love to have this much to spend on earrings, if I did I'd buy a pair of 0.50ct solitaire diamond stud earrings.

StormingNorman · 26/01/2025 14:32

I would probably opt for diamond and pearl earrings.

I'd buy lab grown diamond studs and put locking backs on them. You can get 1Ct total in lab grown for your budget and they will be timeless - like these https://www.warrenjames.co.uk/jewellery/1-00ct-lab-grown-diamond-stud-earrings-certificated-lgde001

😱 That's so pticey for 9k white gold and lab grown diamonds 😱
Pretty but wowza

I went to Karl Karter, the co-owner of London Rocks in Hatton Garden and we designed my earrings together, picked the stones and he handmade them. So they’re absolutely unique. He’s an amazing guy. Super-talented, down to earth and doesn’t rip people off. I would - and have! - recommend him. He’s made other jewellery for me, and also made my friend’s engagement ring.

Definitely overpriced considering it's not even 2 x 0.50ct diamonds.....smalls, but not set in an interesting way to make them stand out as different

Husband surprised me at Christmas with a pair of Kiki McDonough diamond hoops in 18ct gold with detachable dangles. I love them as they are so versatile. You can add different drops to change up the look or just go with a timeless diamond hoop. They also clip securely together for piece of mind. I love the versatility of them. The hoops are within budget but maybe a wee bit more for some dangles.

Okitsme · 26/01/2025 16:44

I would commission a pair, in fact I would probably ask for a copy of the pair of pearl and gold ones just found in Pompeii.

FuzzyGreenAlien · 27/01/2025 09:53

I'm not sure I would feel comfortable wearing earrings that cost that much but I'd have great fun at Tiffany's.

weareallcats · 27/01/2025 10:26

I’d get something custom made by Alex Monroe - ideally a stud style of the type that sort of climbs along your ear lobe - in gold with flowers and a peach sapphire.
