Black work trousers (active job)

I'm 5'7", size 12 and work with animals and I crouch and kneel a lot. I need smart black trousers. I could wear black jeans but they are quite heavy and restrictive. I don't like combat style with pockets...scrubs wear through on the knee

I am thinking maybe some walking trousers but they are often baggy with lots of pockets and I'd like to try look a bit stylish. I used to have a pair of skinny stretch cords which worked well but I can't find similar again
