What shoes with this dress?

Bought this for an event early April -

I like the sandals with it and also the slipper/clog type shoes but it's a reasonably dressy event and it won't be sandle weather. Any ideas? Also what type of jacket? (Event was meant to be in June but I have the dress now so I'm wearing it!!)

It'd almost down to the floor on me as I'm small, if relevant.

Oh, if you’re wearing a jacket that changes the whole look so you could wear less summery shoes.

It’s a great dress but do you want it down to your ankles? I might be inclined to have it taken up a little, so it looks more formal, less holiday maxi.

Yes I have a little pale yellow tweed that I had jn mind. I'd rather not wear a jacket but I imagine early April I'll need an option! Thanks, will look at shoes.

I like both of those tho not totally mad on the embellishment, or the price tag of the second ones but they're so nice!!

I love the dress, it would look amazing with boots. I would wear with Anonymous Copenhagen Vully boots or tan western boots, but probably not dressy enough for an event....

It's a gorgeous dress in the flesh. Beautiful material, soft cotton top half and maybe a silk blend skirt. Really flattering and love the styling in the pic also for summer.
