BIAB nails

Can someone explain to me in simple terms what BIAB nails are please? Is it like a gel manicure on your own nails or is it used like acrylic for extensions?

My nails are crap, brittle, constantly peeling and look awful but I want to get them 'done' for an event in a few weeks but I don't know what i need!

Acrylics really damaged my nails previously and a few people have recommended BIAB.

Thanks for any info

@jackstini can you recommend any particular products that can be bought online to remove biab at home?

Pure acetone is all you need

Use a course file and gently take the shine and any gel polish off, Then soak cotton wool in acetone and place on nail and wrap in foil. Give it 10 mins and see if it's ready to budge, You may have to repeat a few times. Whatever you do, don't force it off, let the acetone do its job

My natural nails are awful, I’ve not had them done since September and before then I had them done every 3 weeks for 18 months!!
My natural nails split , splinter and breaks off really short.
I’ve been advised to buy lemons and soak in the juice and then let my nails soak in any type of oil to help, because your nails are made up of layers and what’s happening is the layers are separating leaving them weak!

Acetone will not remove properly applied BIAB. I get mine done every four or five weeks, the old stuff gets gently filed off with a manual file and then the new one goes on. The appointment takes about 80 minutes.BIAB has allowed my nails grow for the first time in decades, I am so proud of them now.

Please be sure to go to a reputable salon though, it is more complex to apply than gel and the base preparation is vital.
