Razor burn help!

Spontaneous swimming trip this afternoon. So I dug a razor our of the cupboard, sat over the bath, lathered some shower gel on my legs and quickly shaved them. Didn’t cut myself. Put some moisturiser on them and off we went (yes this was pointless because I showered before getting in the pool and washed the cream off).

After getting out the pool, my legs were burning. Got home o 20 minutes later and I smothered them in moisturiser. But it hasn’t helped. My legs look fine, slightly red in patches, but they are really burning!! I‘ve put on a thick shea body butter and that hasn’t helped either.

Has anyone got any tips??

In future why not use hair removing creams so much easier to use.

Maybe I‘m doing it wrong but they don’t seem to work great for me
