Erborian cc cream - Clair

I have really pale skin and blonde hair, so many products make my face look orange. I have heard really good things about erborian and tempted to order the small tube of cc cream/creme in Clair.
Does anyone have any advice please if this lightest shade is likely still too dark for really pale skin?
Also is it quite shiny? I have an oily t-zone as it is so want to avoid anything that could make it worse.
Thank you

It hasn’t made my skin shiny at all, just good coverage. I have pale skin, not super pale but it does apart so I’m sure it would be fine. Comes out the tube white! I do recommend it. Lookfantastic had it on offer this week I think as I ordered more.

I've been using it for three years. it does feel greasy on my skin after a few hours but I think that the moisturiser I use underneath with the sunscreen.

It gives enough coverage without looking like make up. I'll never buy foundation again.

I tend use the lightest shades on the palette (1.5 in Armani silk) and I found it far too orange.

I find it too pale for me, I have to mix it with the doir, they do a bb cream in a light shade I think its call nude, go on the web site it will tell you the colours.

I am very pale and the eborian looks bright orange on me, I'm afraid.

I am also very pale and I wear Clair. Did you choose Clair also?

It adjusts to your skin colour, Clair is literally the same colour as my skin, it just covers red marks etc

It looked fine at first but then oxidised really badly quite quickly and was very orange.

Sticklebricks · 20/01/2025 09:08

It was quite grey toned for me, not orange at all, but obviously depends on your skin. If you order
from the Erborian site they’ll send you testers in different shades so you can try it before opening the full sized tube.

Yes, it looks very grey in the tube and at first I thought it was not too bad for my skin.

But the oxidising was terrible for me. But it get this a lot with all sorts of foundations, so maybe it's just me!

I think it works better for warm toned paler skin rather than cool toned as it's comes up more orange

user2848502016 · 20/01/2025 12:03

I have it and really like it. It comes out a bit of a strange pasty colour but does seem to blend in to my skin after a few minutes it looks lovely.
I have fair skin too but quite a warm undertone (strawberry blonde with freckles!)

Lexy70 · 20/01/2025 16:05

I'm pale, Celtic skin and I use it. It is meant to adjust to your skin. If I use too much it does seem a bit orange. You should be able to buy a sample. I'm 53 and it is really nice in my skin, light coverage.

Crapbags · 20/01/2025 17:41

I’m pale and found the Clair in the standard cc cream a tad orange but I’m now using the illuminating ‘dull correct’ version in the purple tube and it’s a much better shade and I really like the very subtle illuminating effect, it really brightens my skin.

It went orange on me, I'm afraid. Annoyingly, I did have a tester and that seemed ok but no, for me it did not work colour-wise.
