Airport Shopping - no more tax free?

Hi there i didn’t realise you don’t get the VAT/Tax off purchases in duty free in airports anymore? I’m about to buy a bag when I’m flying from UK to non-EU assumed I’d get 20% off but I’m advised not. Is this correct?

I'll got perfume duty free at the airport at Christmas.

It seems perfume and make up still is but not like bags/clothing

Yep it ended in Jan 21 and has had a massive effect on tourist spend esp in London.

I’ve clearly been in a cupboard 😂
