Itchy flaky scalp

Hi

randomly I’ve started suffering with itchy scalp and flakiness , leaving dandruff in my hair roots.never really had this issue before unless my hair was well overdue a wash.
i have wavy hair so am looking for a product that reduces the itchiness and flaking but doesn’t dry out my hair
ive looked at the Royal Oils stuff and the bodyshop finger one as well as a scalp scrub
any recommendations?

This stuff is amazing! I started reacting to my shampoo and conditioner - as well as what you describe the back of my neck became itchy and I got a slight chemical burn on the”cleft” of my bum.

This settled my scalp down completely.

I use head & shoulders - they have one for itchy scalps.

Philip Kingsley Itchy Scalp Shampoo is amazing. It doesn’t dry out your hair like the cheaper brands (Head & Shoulders etc).

This stuff is amazing, the only one that works for me.

Do you have to use it daily? I find washing my hair too often doesn’t do it any good

My hair is long and dry from bleach so I only wash it about twice a week. This worked really well and if I did start to get itchy I’d just wash my hair.

I have severe scalp psoriasis, and Kerastase Symbiose Bain Creme Anti-Pelliculaire Shampoo is the one thing I make sure I always have at home. It contains salicylic acid, which is what works.

Also weDo conditioner (the orange one), it’s mild and you can put it on your scalp too.

Do not use Head & Shoulders. It really isn’t good for you in the long run.

You need something with coal tar in it, eg T-gel or Nizoral. Wash your hair/scalp EXACTLY as per the instructions otherwise it won't really work. After a few bottles you should be able to return to normal anti dandruff shampoos like Head n Shoulders.
