Nose piercing

Is it possible to get my nose pierced with a clear retainer as the initial stud?

I really want my nose pierced however, visible facial piercings are not allowed at work.

A few people do have them at work and wear a clear retainer or take them out for the day. Their piercings are old and healed so it's not a problem for them. My issue would be having the visible metal stud during the healing period.

Anyone experienced that can offer advice on piercings?

i have a nose stud and sadly this really does sound a draconian rule for a little nose piercing. You could try wearing a flesh-coloured plaster over it while at work until it heals. Then switch it out for a clear retainer after that.

Unlikely you'll have a clear retainer for the initial piercing. They'll probably use a titanium stud, the retainers are meant for healed piercings

It really is draconian 😩 I was hoping my employer would join the 21st century soon but it's not looking likely.
