Hi,

Anyone got any products they can recommend for dry skin on their face? Thanks!

I've recently been using the ren marine moisture serum followed by avene cicaplast at night before bed and it's done wonders for my dry skin on my face! Many more knowledgeable people here though who will be able to advise!

Dry skin can be caused and aggravated by so many things including cold weather, central heating, sun exposure, wrong/overly strong products, reaction to products, certain everyday skin conditions, medications, lack of hydration, general ageing and so on. Do you have a good, everyday skincare routine in place? Gentle cleanser, moisturiser and SPF in the morning…cleanser, suitable treatment, moisturiser at nighttime? That’s your first course of action. Everyday dry skin suggests you need better exfoliation followed by suitable moisturiser to replenish. Exfoliation for me in my 60s means the nightly use of a retinoid (from Monderma), which helps speed up cell turnover and get rid of that dull, coarse, flaky layer. There are alternatives (weaker, over the counter retinols) for example and some people are happy with them, but if your skin can adjust gradually (starting with a very low strength) to something powerful like the retinoid Tretinoin (prescription only here in the UK) that will help clear dry skin, fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin clarity generally. Good luck.

I have skin issues but I maintain a routine for that after multiple researches on my face. So here is my routine that I follow with that:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face,
Sebamed clear face gel,
la roche posay spf
Evening:
la roche posay moisturizer,
Tretinoin (0.1) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel

CeraVe lotion rather than the cream.

snail mucin there’s an Amazon bundle for about £25 just now. I even use it on my legs that are so dry they’re rough and flaky…well they used to be not any more,
there’s a cleanser, toner, serum eye cream and moisturiser. I finish it off with a cerave cream and my skin has never looked better.

I also use chemical exfoliants. Lactic acid by the ordinary is brilliant for my skin

Second this. Snail mucin is another great product.
