Should I get another small crossbody?

I've been using this 2.5L crossbody as my everyday + travel carry for the past 4 years, and am now in the market for a new, different one as it's developed a huge hole on the bottom.
Kånken Sling

Here's what I carry on a day-to-day basis:

  1. Small card pouch
  2. Phone
  3. Foldable shopping bag (folds to the size of a card)
  4. Small pouch with meds
  5. Mini 100ml face mist

My style is casual basics, verging on outdoorsy.

I'm leaning towards getting another small crossbody or sling in the 2.5-3.5L range but was wondering if maybe I'd be better off with a mini backpack instead? My only worry is that even small (7L) backpacks end up being half-filled so feels like a bit of a cumbersome waste! I've never run into any space issues with my current sling.

My main criteria:

  1. Nothing too dressy. Material wise I tend to prefer cordura or x-pac over leather.
  2. Not black
  3. Has a light-coloured lining
  4. At least minimally theft/drop-and-scatter-proof i.e. has a zipped top instead of it being wide open

Does anyone have any recs? Thanks! 😁

The usual recommendation is the Uniqlo round mini bag. It comes in corduroy or polyester and in a wide variety of colours. There is a larger quilted version. I have them in a variety of colours. They're small, practical and easy to use.

I am not sure if fabric is right but recommend Lululemon Everything bag. It’s a bumbag but I wear as a crossbody when dresses in athleisure. It’s been a revelation how hand it is to have everything and both hands free to get stuff out.

Solid, dependable, cheap as a takeaway:
EastPak - The One

Little funkier, little pricier:

Cute, pricier:

I love my Uniqlo bag and it goes everywhere with me but have spent some vouchers on a lovely Orla Kiely crossbody bag which has more room. Going to start using it soon.
