Need mother of the bride outfit ideas for country/barn wedding

The daughter of a friends of mine is getting married in a barn in a stylish country setting. My friend and her family are artsy/elegant, and my friend would like to wear something stylish and not traditionally MOB. She is especially interested in pants, maybe something with a tunic, maybe swishy....She is about 5'5, trim/fit, and well-proportioned. Any ideas? Images or links would be very appreciated.

Is your friend willing to disclose her budget? And actual clothes size? Any limitations or restrictions? Preferred colours, etc?

Also does she want new or pre-owned and is she happy to order online? (As it’s hard to offer effective help if someone only wants ideas from their own High Street.)

Oh! Is she in the UK, or elsewhere - as you use ‘pants’ rather than ‘trousers’?

OK. In the United States. Budget is not an issue and she is willing to order on-line or internationally if returns are possible. Size is about US 8 or a s/m. She is drawn to greens or blues, but it is a late August wedding and she is open to anything. Images and links would be so appreciated. I have gotten so many good ideas from this forum in the past! Thanks!

For someone slim there are better options than a tunic, IMO. If she wants to wear trousers then the focus will be on the top half of the outfit.

If it were my mother I’d want her to wear or take inspiration from

Zimmermann’s

beautiful flouncy blouses. And then choose trousers and accessories that coordinate.

Alternatively, pretty much anything from

would suit a sophisticated country vibe.
