Fine but thick hair. Help!

I've just started a new job, so I'm leaving the house at seven in the morning. As my hair is quite heavy, it takes a good half an hour to dry, which I don't want to have to do each morning.

It looks presentable on the days I can be arsed but will look limp the next morning; it doesn't particularly get greasy, so I can go three or four days without having to wash it. What can I use to give it some oomph in the days between washing? I've tried dry shampoos, but they don't help. I have it thinned out every eight weeks, and it's shoulder length. I don't want to go shorter, as it doesn't suit me, and layers don't work either.

What do I do, apart from wear a hat!

My DD's hair is the same and she uses texturizing spray on day 2 to give her hair some volume, and sprays it in like this lady does in the video She uses this spray Umberto Giannini Texture Boost Volumising Dry Texture Mist - Boots
