Very hard to say without seeing your face (but understandable that you don’t want to post your face)

The dark looks in better condition but could just be that it had been more recently done/better conditioned on that day.

What is your colour naturally? What colour as a child?

OSU · 14/01/2025 12:30

I like your highlights but would make them all lighter as the really dark stuff doesn't go

Hysterectomynext · 14/01/2025 12:31

i really like the blonde. I’d go for that with even more high lights

pilates · 14/01/2025 12:32

The colour on the right looks better imo.

I agree! Looks lovely.

Olika · 14/01/2025 12:40

Definitely brunette

Onceachunkymonkey · 14/01/2025 12:42

The blond looks nicer and I usually prefer brunnette.

LivingOnTheVeg · 14/01/2025 12:43

I think it’d look lovely a slightly darker brunette but with a caramelly balayage/highlights to give you some extra warmth.

SnidelyWhiplash · 14/01/2025 12:45

I prefer the blonde, but not the black streaks.

Agree with this. The brown in the pic looks a bit unnatural and one tone. I’d either go darker and caramel balayage or a more obvious red tone rather than the reddish brown flat tone on this pic.

But I think the blonde looks lovely too tbh. It depends a bit on your eye colour, eyebrows, how much make up you wear too but understand why you’ve blacked out your face.

Surprisingly the brunette was done at the hairdressers and she charged me a fortune for it as well

I'm naturally brunette with blue eyes

I'm a natural brunette with blue eyes, and for years have had highlights to the blonde you had, but since lockdown and a bit before I have been growing them out, and just putting a few highlights in myself along the top and the fringe, the condition of my hair on the natural parts are in such lovely condition, that I will never go back to full head highlights again, it does take a bit of getting used to, as I was in my twentys when I started I'm now 64. As a child I was blonde till age around 11 then mousey colour, but now my hair have got darker as I have aged, when I put my hair in a ponytail I see a little bit of red/ auburn colour

iwantamilluin · 14/01/2025 15:53

@lindyloo57 I'm the same really
I used to get full head highlights and my hair was in awful condition
So I just went to t section and my brunette underneath is really nice condition
Puts me off getting a full head and ruining it again
