Sixth Form Interview

Wasn't sure whether to put this in an education topic, but this topic gets a lot more traffic.

DS has an interview at a fairly prestigious sixth form college in a couple of weeks. What should he wear?

It's at 6pm so he has time to come home and get changed.

His default "not school, not jeans" outfit is chinos and a checked shirt, last worn for a wedding and afternoon tea at a very smart tearooms, but it does make him look a bit like a mini 45 year old!

What's the uniform at the college?

I think the outfit sounds fine.

He could always were his uniform. I honestly don't think anyone will think that it's weird he's wearing his uniform at 6pm. They will just assume he's been to an extra curricular or something. If they think about it at all.

I work in a sixth form and students pop in with whatever they feel comfortable in. My eldest was studying sport, so he went in sports clothes. They don't need to 'dress up' for an interview. Keep it casual 🙂

Ah thanks.

The college has no uniform.

Id say jeans then. If there's no uniform.

If it's a state sixth form college - a) it's not an interview on which anything really depends as the college cannot select or not on the basis of it b) they will have seen ALL sorts.

Jeans are fine.
