Thought I'd start a follow on thread as I'm not about till tomorrow and I'm loving see all the LD arrivals, definitely doing some more next week.

I am very fortunate i haven't had purples! My first couple in the dip last year was the flax finchley and pea bantry and I did think "what have I done!" As they were both yucky colours, luckily bantry has grown on me but the flax finchley has not 😅 i keep considering selling it but think if my big Canfield ever broke, at least I have another large bag. I dont think they do them with the lining anymore, they were part of a limited edition collection I think. You could always email Roka and ask in case they have some in a warehouse somewhere? I really love that little bag now, its just fitting it in the rotation enough! 😂

Love the blue and the black straps! I have a black label med Canfield and I think i actually prefer black straps to grey ones!

I completely agree about the black straps @Loverofbags - so much nicer imo. DH approves of the Canfield and is currently opening every zip!

The top is a sort of Teal colour.

I’ve just looked back at all the pictures people have posted on this and the last thread - ROKA have sent out some lovely bags this year.

On the whole, I am very pleased with my LD experience and I do think ROKA’s CS has been very good on the whole. It’s a company that, on reflection, I would now recommend to others.

These bags are excellent value in the sale and I am also grateful for all the info and feedback from people on this thread!

@IlovePond I saw a small Chocolate Bantry with the tartan cotton lining in a shop the other day. It was reduced so likely oldish stock, but of course still much dearer than dip prices.

I've just ordered a maxi surprise. Hope I get a nice large bag

Interesting @TreesAtSea - sounds like they trialled a cotton lining for a while.

I finally got my trafalgar today. Its green, not sure which green maybe teal. Good colour, good size, great design with just the right pockets.

So I have 4 bags that I don't love but will still be very useful and 4 that I do. Do I keep those first 4 or ebay or gift them? 8 new bags is a bit excessive isn't it?!

Which bags did you end up with altogether @GreyBlackBay ? The Teal colour is nice. It’s so weird how just a colour can affect your impression of a bag. (The colour of my Trafalgar completely threw me at first - I couldn’t see that it was actually a very good bag!)

Well.....I think you're asking the wrong people, we also have far too many bags but they are all too colourful and useful to part with! 😅😅😅 well, I have two smaller ones I'll likely gift later in the year, the only one that I'll likely never use is a little emerald chelsea as only fits phone and nothing more. I've only got the one small bantry though, if I had more of those I'd probably stick on vinted, but the bigger ones are practical. I dont have any tote bags though so might be a diff answer if I did!

I know what you mean. I just thought 'meh' when I saw the Kennington because it was black but I've realised it's a fabulous size and shape.

Bags I love are a medium Finchley in mist, Paddington Cross body in teal, Paddington hip bag in navy and trafalgar in teal.

Bags I'm not keen on are Kennington and small bantry both because they're black. The jubilee sling bag in gorgeous seamist because its not my style/shape. And a medium Canfield in black with purple top, again mainly black and I don't need another rucksack.

I imagine I'd use both the Kennington and canfield eventually because they're good shapes. I might gift the other two.

I'm tempted to go back in because I love the fun of it. I'd like a Kennington in a colour and any large rucksack for nights away. I should probably buy on vinted though.

I think the Kennington looks like a good fit for me, but very similar to a bargainous nylon/leather trim bag I got from Coach in the US, which is both practically indestructible and fits an incredible amount of stuff inside. I do NOT need another mid-sized bag😹

I am tempted to go back in and try for a bag big enough for DH’s laptop, but should probably quit whilst I am ahead…

@IlovePond I know what you mean. I love the excitement of the dip. But I got 7 items already this year and I think my husband will flip if another grey parcel arrives. I would go maxi if I went again..... must not go again.... are you going again?

@manpan1 - very sadly I have spent this evening trying to persuade my friend to do a dip - because, apparently, if she adds a Mini for me to her order, that doesn’t count as me doing another one 😹😹

So far she is resisting, (which is probably just as well as she is super fussy and dislikes surprises, so LDs are probably NOT for her!)

I would quite like to try another Maxi LD as DH does need a bag and it’s his birthday next week. However, if I go for it with that in mind, I’ll probably end up with a small Bantry B in psychedelic stripes instead of something suitable for him.

Bizarrely, having never heard of ROKA until these threads, their bags are now everywhere I look, including in a shop round the corner. I had a look at the colours and styles and I must say, the Paddington B in Candy is very cute! I have resisted the Midi dip so far due to a deep-seated loathing of bumbags and bags designed to sit across the chest or under the armpit. However, if I thought a Paddington B was likely, I might risk it.

I think I might be better trying my luck on eBay or Vinted but I won’t pay over the odds, knowing that these bags have all come from LDs.

Has anyone received an umbrella in the mini dip? I love their umbrellas. Tempted to go again in the vain hope of getting one

@IlovePond If you order in the hope of getting something for DH, you will likely receive your ideal dream bag that you want to keep for yourself. Then you can go again for DH.... or order 2 and get free delivery

On the Bayswater bag product info, the lining is described as "flannel cotton" and some pics do appear to show a plaid lining. I've emailed them to check.
Meanwhile I've had an email from Roka with a code for a free midi dip with orders over £50...
