Roka Lucky dip 2025 thread 2

Thought I'd start a follow on thread as I'm not about till tomorrow and I'm loving see all the LD arrivals, definitely doing some more next week.

Well that's my last order done! I ordered a couple of mini dips hoping for a little Paddington, as the one I have now someone rubbed some muck on the front of it brushing past me on the bus, dirty buggers! Really pleased with these two, plum Paddington and black label green and black canvas purse. I got a little purse in last year's dip and use it every day! This one. Matches my duvet 😅😅

They are nice @Loverofbags That plum colour is very pretty and I like the green of that purse much more than the Emerald of the Chelsea I have. (IMO, Emerald is really a pea-green shade.)

I am waiting for another Maxi dip. I wonder if I will get a Moorgate, seeing as that is what seems to be going out atm, or another small Bantry B.

If a Moorgate, then that might do for DH’s beast of a laptop, (nothing very portable about it!) If whichever bag it is arrives in that Plum colour, though, I’m keeping it for me!

If anyone can tell me why I have dipped again, it would be much appreciated! 🤔

I mentioned on the first thread that I haven't dipped as I'm very choosy, but that I'd used Vinted for the first time to get my first Roka, a Paddington D. Lots of firsts there...
Well, bizarrely ten days or so later I now seem to have yet more Roka bags courtesy of Vinted.

I'm so confused. If I'd ideally like a medium finchley backpack, do I order a midi
dip or a maxi dip?
Could one person order a midi and another person a maxi dip and both get the same thing? Or are the large dips slightly more special in terms of color etc?
I'm thinking of doing two dips, but should I do two maxi or two midi or one of both if I ideally want a medium backpack?

@DoComeToMeKitty All backpacks are maxi so I would go 2 maxi if you want only backpacks. The midi dip tends to be small cross body types - Paddington B, Kennington etc.

My maxi and midi arrived today. I received a black and avocado medium Canfield and a corn Paddington. I love love love the Canfield but will be selling the Paddington.

Just went for a 2nd maxi ld in the hope of a medium Canfield . Got a medium black bantry last time

I bet it will be lovely in summer when we are all cheerful, happy and bright in the sunshine! A nice little holiday bag too! I can get phone, keys, little carnaby purse and inhaler in the main compartment, and earbuds, lip balm and a couple of lippies in the front. I let the strap out as far as it will go and wear it cross body. I have two of them now I use as day bags, got red and burgundy! X

Its because they are such useful bags! I use these more than anything because they're so light too, especially if you're going into work with a bag full of stuff you don't want the bag to be hefty before you've even filled it. Plus it's nice to be colourful when everyone's being boring wearing black and grey in winter 😅 I think that's what makes winter extra depressing!

I have the same emerald chelsea and it's no use to me as can't get anything but a phone in, even on a short walk I still need to get my keys in there 😄 will prob give it as a gift later in the year along with a marine Paddington B I got

I know what you mean @Loverofbags - I am using my Chelsea for the gym. I can get card, phone, AirPods and hand sanitiser in and that’s it! It’s handier than the bag I was using before, though as it’s small and light enough for me to keep it on.

@Loverofbags oh you are right. I am going on holiday in August. I think it's the colour but you're right it'll be lovely as a summer bag.

@Loverofbags Yes, useful they certainly are and so well-made. I think that's what's really impressed me, as before I've usually just bought cheap bags.
I've got the red and burgundy Paddington Ds too and also prefer them worn cross-body.
Just off to collect my first Paddington B. Oh, and there might be a Willesden B on the way too😊Really like both those styles.
I've told myself this nonsense must now stop...

Post just came . Have got the Canfield B medium in black / purple .
Bit boring , but at least it basically goes with everything so can't complain , I expect the colour will grow on me .

So my midi one is the Paddington b in airforce which I really like. Shame I got two of the same style tho

Its nice to have a variety, to swap around if you get bored! ive got way too many big bags now from last year and this, not to mention the little/midi dips 😅 plus an extra bag from pre-dip times! I've got a flax finchley (i never use as the front pocket is weird and too big for work), a large cranberry canfield, apple green med Canfield, dark orange black label med Canfield, creative waste med Canfield and a small pea coloured bantry with brushed cotton lining 🤣🤣🤣 they all came in handy when I moved house though, so i didn't seem entirely crazy with my collection 😂😂

Oh whoops 🤣🤣 the only thing left i think I'd like is a farrington, but I really don't need it!

I love the sound of a Bantry with cotton lining @Loverofbags - your bag collection is making me feel better about all my - non-ROKA bags! I have a bad habit of just grabbing the same one every day- I need to mix things up a bit!

I've mostly been using the large red one for work this past year, but I've swapped now to the creative waste Canfield I got this year, that one and the orange are lovely, I'll have to swap them over again soon 😅😅 here's the little one from last year, and this year's two lovelies 😃

Seeing your lovely haul makes me realise how truly random the LD process is! (Of course, part of the excitement!)

My lilac Trafalgar is proving super useful for work, but my goodness it’s an ugly colour 😹

My Maxi LD has arrived - it’s a medium Canfield Creative Waste in Black/Seaport.
