Thought I'd start a follow on thread as I'm not about till tomorrow and I'm loving see all the LD arrivals, definitely doing some more next week.

Hoping my order will arrive today. The bag I bought is a gift for DS's birthday which is in a few days so getting nervous.

I realised later yesterday that the new colours were out and appeared to trigger the offers on the top bar but it charged for them in the basket.

Best I wait and see what I get anyway.

Then there will be a bag amnesty/cull.

Ooh, the colourway of that Bantry sounds fab. Until you said further down that you were keeping it, I was going to ask if you were interested in selling. 😄

I've been terrible this year though - I've dipped three times and still waiting for the last two to come, so who knows what I'll get! I already had too many ROKA bags (well, too many bags in general really 😳), so I'm really going to need to prune once everything's arrived and I've decided what to keep.

Just had an email saying part of my order is dispatching - the full price products I purchased. The email makes it sound like the 2 free lucky dips will be sent separately which doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

The tracking number doesn't work yet so I'm not hopeful it will arrive in time for son's birthday on Tuesday which is annoying as I ordered it Sunday night thinking that would be plenty of time.

@OvaHere That's what happened with mine then the LDs were in the same package. Roka have left all of the LD orders as "unfulfilled" on their system which means they didn't send despatch emails for the LD items. I think this might be because if they marked them as despatched and 'fulfilled' their portal would allow people to exchange them. That wasn't part of the LD rules so I think they did a workaround by not sending despatch emails

I ordered on Monday but haven’t received anything yet except that email saying they’re busy.

Oh well, it’s not like I am in a hurry for more bags 🙈

Perhaps not relevant to those of you who are waiting for dips, but I ordered a full-price item last night and got the despatch email and tracking number a couple of hours ago, with Royal Mail tracking showing the delivery is due on Tuesday.

I've panic bought something from Amazon as a back up in case it doesn't arrive. So much for getting a bargain. 😂

You can email them and ask to mark your order as fulfilled so you can return it, I did this and was done within 24 hours.

The FB page has turned into a Vinted website - some people are selling soooooo many products. Not swapping - just selling, including all the free midis.
I may get left with 2 or 3 unwanted products but 2 of them were free so I really can't grumble. A lot of profit being made from Roka bags!

Vinted is also flooded with Roka bags atm. Many are being offered at far more than the LD price.

I am assuming that some of these sellers are open to offers, but otherwise I don’t understand how people are going to shift the bags at such inflated prices. (The promotion ran for weeks and we all know that no one has paid £25 for all those Paddington D or Chelsea bags 😹).

Presumably those people who are charging LD price plus postage are selling their bags quite quickly- especially the bigger bags as they seem popular.

I like the bags I have atm, (although I really didn’t need another Chelsea). If I get ones in my second dip that I really can’t use/dislike, I shall bite the bullet and return.

@IlovePond Completely agree. I think what saddens me is that some people have been messaging me this week on FB, trying to buy a bag, then they have bought the same bag from someone else too and listed it on Vinted. There are lots of people on FB swap page just buying and selling on for profit.
I am really pleased with my dips. I have a small bantry left which I actually quite like so if it does't sell/swap I won't be overly disappointed.
Apart from that I have a free paddington (third cranberry) and a very cheap yellow chelsea with student discount so it cost about £8. So I haven't lost out and I haven't made money out of anyone.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the fun of it all and I have some beautiful bags.

I sold my Bantry from the beginning of the month on Vinted slightly under the LD price (I had kw discount when I bought it) because I didn't want it to sit there not selling. It sold in within a minute of me listing it which surprised me - I expected it to sell but not that quickly.

I’ve sold a few bags on Vinted, but all at or a couple of pounds more the LD, and a couple cheaper. The amount of bags from the maxi LD at £45/50 is frustrating.

I've sold 2 on vinted and I put them both on at LD price. I dont feel right about returning them, that seems very unfair to Roka and I think they've been stellar in their service.

Surely there are too many bags out there to be trying to make a profit unless you have something usual.

I'd quite like a few summery colours so I'll pick up some if my LD didn't provide them..

I agree @manpan1 snd @MinstrelGirl - selling on a bag you have bought in good faith is one thing, but I dislike this pure profiteering. Maybe I am being naive; I know lots of people make a living doing similar. (I am a rubbish eBay seller myself🙀)

I think the worse example of profiteering I witnessed was on eBay: A charity was selling an expensive jacket at a starting price way under its value. I was watching it, but didn’t get round to bidding. The only bidder was a dealer, who then put it back for sale on the same day the auction ended for 10 x the price paid. They didn’t even wait for the item to arrive - just relisted it using the charity’s pictures!

@IlovePond That's so bad. I work for a small charity and that would really anger me. I am also naive. I thought the FB page was just for like minded people swapping bags but today has changed my view of it. I just listed my bantry and paddington on vinted (first time on vinted) but actually I quickly changed my mind. I am going to keep them and find a use for them. I don't want to contribute to a market flooded with underpriced Roka bags. I love Roka and I want people to carry on buying from them so that they are around for lucky dips year after year. A bit of perspective brought me to my senses. My bag is slightly brighter green than I would usually buy. I mean..... first world problem, hey?
It's lovely. I am keeping it. And no one else will make a profit from it and take profit away from Roka!!

Thanks @manpan1 - I agree with you. I know ROKA are a business and I am sure they are doing fine, but this promotion is a nice thing and I wouldn’t want it to backfire or be spoilt!

On an unrelated note: I used my Canfield for my w/end trip and it was great!

I'm still waiting for my order from last weekend, then placed another just before midnight - I'm so glad this offer is done!

I'm hoping to have backpacks big enough for my kids to take to school. Will probably try a swap if I get more paddingtons.

I can't help but think this flooded market is going to affect Roka's future sales for going into the new year. Unless they are going to launch some more new ranges. And I also hope it doesn't affect future LDs.

But I also don't understand those sellers asking full price for them. Surely someone who is willing to pay full price, will just order direct?

I never did place a LD order (I do feel a bit sad about it I won't lie ☺️), but even on the last day the free postage was not extended to us over in the other side of the world. Understandable, but 30 pounds is a lot extra to pay (more than the dip).

But, my dd managed to find a preloved Longchamp for her trip. I still don't think it's going to work at well as my Finchley, but at least I get to keep it.

Re: Overseas delivery charges

Given you love ROKA and have ordered from them before, it might be worth dropping CS an email now that the madness of LD is over and just asking if there is anything that they can do to soften that awful extra charge in future.

I mean, there probably isn’t, but it wouldn’t hurt them to do ONE free day of overseas postage as a special bonus during promotions.

They might even be grateful for the suggestion 😹

The socks are soooo comfy, I might even order more!
