Pink trainers

I have woken up with a hankering for some pink suede trainers. My go to trainer wise are either gazelles or pumas as I am still basically in 1996 at uni and I'm good with that but just wondering g if anything I may have missed.

I have wide short hobbit feet and I've consulted with teen dd who has confirmed I am allowed to consider them if styled correctly. She will mark my work. (This is obviously lighthearted. She's not the boss of me. Honest).

(Pink trainers seem a perfectly natural thing to want right now. I’m craving Frederic Malle’s Lipstick Rose perfume, which is all bubblegum and candy floss and only ever really relevant for about three surprisingly warm days in May.)

usually suede pumas, I know I ought to at least swap to adidas for fashion but the pumas are comfy. I find pale pink goes well with (pale) bare legs, and is a bit more contemporary than white.

I fancy some pink trainers too and like these but a bit too chunky for me I think.

I am so very pleased I am not alone.

I had a look at a few today. They had some GOLA ones in the JL sale but the pink was too fuchsia and I want a warmer bubblegum.

I like quite a lot of the ones above so will have a good browse but I do think puma is probably the way I will go. An oldie but a goodie, I know fits and not too chunky.

Although I did disgrace myself in the Puma section of Schuh when I saw a slightly textured teal pair that I then started to stroke. If only I could justify both

I am wavering on the pink. There has been much discussion (dh: do you need another pair of trainers? Yes, shut up. Dd2: Christ no mother. I refuse to take style advice from an emo who dresses like an actual nun).

The reason I am wavering is so I actually fancy green.

There is temptation to buy both a green and a pink pair given I can buy junior sizes in the sale. But DH is right - I can justify one pair as I have holes in some I've worn out but 2 is probably a bit unnecessary.

I bought magenta pumas last year...love them

I had some pearlised pink Reebok classics that looked banging recently. They lasted about 8 years.
I used to have pink buffalo trainers in the late 90s.
Pink converse are cute.
