I want to get my lovely friend a gift. We don't usually exchange them but for various reasons I want to get her a birthday something. Ideally make up. She likes a variety of brands and loves eye make up. Anything nice for that money do you think ? I know we're full of folks on not buying but if you've been tempted and seen discounts / offers to make my cash go further please do share !

Someone got me a set of Langmanni chameleon eye shadows last year and I get complimented every time I wear them. They're just under £15 for a set so would leave you something left for an additional gift, and they come in a nice box, and have fantastic staying power. I can put it on first thing, go to work, go to kickboxing after work (sweaty as anything) and still have perfect eyeshadow after class.

The chameleon might be a bit bright for her. She's good at smoky eye and eyeliner

A decent mascara? Bobbi Brown or Dior.

Failing that, a lipstick/lip gloss?

That's a great budget and I'd probably buy a gift voucher so she can have the fun of choosing something she really likes. Space NK would be a good place as they stock lots of different brands.

Have a look in Vinted also, many people selling unwanted Christmas gifts in the Beauty section.

I would avoid make up as colours / tones are a personal thing and hard to buy for someone else unless you know exactly what they want. I would either gift a voucher or get a skincare set. This is a great value bundle

Slightly outside your budget but I know you can get 15% discount codes online, but if she loves a smokey eye look then I would highly recommend Victoria Beckham eyeliners. They are beautifully packaged to give as a gift too and the actual eyeliners themselves are absolutely amazing and can give a nice spin on a smoky eye with some of the colours but nothing ott, they are everyday wearable. The Olive shade is my everyday one

I was going to suggest Space NK too.
A voucher for there would be lovely.

@Pinktruffle I just came on here to say Victoria Beckham eye makeup!

I bought one for my daughter based on a recommendation on here, it was a kind of bronze eyeliner and really lovely.

Seconding VB products .... whilst I rarely wear actual eye make up beyond mascara i am a magpie for Pretty Producst and easily enabled by lovely posters on this boardI. This brand was an itch I needed to scratch so treated myself at Christmas to a mascara from here which I love. I have highly reactive skin and it's caused no problems.

The real surprise hit however was I got a freebie of an eye shadow crayon thing (full size) in Oyster. Well.

It's bloody amazing. Goes on easily (even a donkey like me can't mess it up) looks gorgeous and as highly pigmented lasted all day. I'm a total convert now and once finances allow I shall absolutely re purchase.

If a friend got me something from here I'd probably take a bullet for them Grin Appreciate it's a little above budget though.
