Hang Barbour on coat rack by loop or on hanger?

I've finally got a Barbour (Christmas!) and love it. It's pretty much my dog walking coat - yes, I already had the Labrador - but I also want it to keep its shape for other outings too.

so is it ok to hang it on a peg on the rack by its collar hoop thing along with all the usual outdoor casual/semi casual waterproofy things or should it be on a hanger?

already vaguely regretting this post - fire away ;)

I never hang coats or jackets by the loop unless I'm out somewhere and there's no alternative.

Hangers are better for good coats. It'll dry better too.

loop, it's not made of cobwebs, it'll be fine

if it gets wet i put it on the back of a chair till it's dry

I hang mine by the hood

It won't hold its shape if you hang by the hoop, but I'm not sure they are meant to have shape! Mine are hung by the loop. Which one did you get?

A hanger unless you have a lovely warm spot for it. It will dry off faster and not get mildewy. I try not to use the loops at home for heavy coats, they invariably pull out eventually, are a pain to repair and really handy to have working loops when out and about.

I have the same! Love it. I hang it by the loop.
