IPL or electric razor query!

Hopefully not TMH.

I have been single for a long time (5 years), and also suffer with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I have now started seeing someone, but to put things mildly, I have neglected my self care down below due to the reasons listed above.

When I was last in a relationship I just used to shave fully, but always experienced itchy bumps. I now need to fully get myself freshened up but due to my conditions I feel I will struggle with constant shaving.

I have heard about IPL removal devices. Has anyone got any recommendations (especially if you have used one to go from bush to bare 🤭) I assume I would have to scissor trim first before using?

Also happy to hear recommendations for electric razors and skin care products that would help cut down the irritation and bumps. Waxing is a no go as I am very shy and lack self confidence so couldn't go through with it.

Thank you!

I have a phillips IPL, and wouldn't be without it. Whether you use it, you have to shave or wax first, then use the IPL, and it isn't painless. It feels like an elastic band being flicked hard repeatedly against your skin. It also only works on dark hair, so any blonde hair won't be affected. IIRC, you use it 4-5 times with 2 week intervals, and then every 3 months approx. No shaving rash, and regrowth is gradual. Good luck!
