What next for hair?

I've had blonde balayage for quite a few years. A bit like the photos attached (although not as polished or swishy!). I've loved the low maintenance of the colour and been more than happy with it.

However, I'm now 46 and the inevitable grey hair is starting to come in at the roots. So what next? I want to keep some blonde. Do I need to go back to full length high-lights? It would mean getting my colour done a lot more often. Anyone have any advice?

When my friend had this happen she just touched up her roots with the brown dye to cover grey and continued with balayage. That’s what I might do when needed as I have balayage and am also in my 40s

I've gone back to highlights as I couldn't cope with the banding and I'm not confident yet with the idea of doing any of it myself. Depends how much grey you have and where you have it.

I'll be following for more ideas though especially making it cheaper. I'm not ready to fully embrace the grey.
