Levi’s Ribcage straight jeans sizing - do they stretch?

investing in some Levi’s for the new year. Does anyone have the ribcage version? I’m wondering if I should buy the size that fits me right now, or if they’re the type of jean to stretch with wear, should I size down? Thanks!

I have these and love them. I am a 12 and bought a 12. Washed them but I don't think they stretch all that much. I would buy the size that fits you. But I wash on delicate and do not tumble dry.

Same, they don't stretch

If there are 100% cotton they will stretch. But not so much at the waistband as it's thick and stitched a lot there.

Mine stretched but just to the point that they started out really snug and then after wearing they are perfect

How did you buy a 12? I thought they came in waist size/leg length?

Oops, you are right. I bought a waist size 30 which corresponds to a 12. Can't remember the leg length.

Rib cage are very worth trying, but if you can get to a shop, better to try on there.

I’m a size 12 but I’ve lost a little bit of weight & find a 29 inch fits me best.

my 724 were a bargain £65 from the outlet store. I will try ribcage next time I go.

I love my ribcage Levi's. They do not stretch on the waist. I went to the Levi's store and tried them on first. Glad I did as I was a different size to the size I take in the 724s.
