What is a fashionable dress right now? What are the 2025 dress styles?

Several years ago (I think around 2018), the flowy loose midi dress came in (these never really suited me). Before that, in the 2000s, bodycon dresses were everywhere (so uncomfortable with spanx!)

But I have no idea what the 2025 dress styles are?

Which shops should I be looking at to find a stylish one?

I am not wedded to fashions, but I like to know what is fashionable - and looking at the shops, I really have no idea what the 2025 styles are.

A thread bump as I want to know too!? But I'm pretty sure everything seems to be in at the minute 60s, 70s, 90s, 00s, Boho, smart and simple, western, I'm seeing lots of flowy boho/western now which I like, especially suede but also English heritage checks, so much choice I love it, there was a red check dress percy Langley, I spotted from the well worn, just gorgeous but not in my size unfortunately! 😒😁

Not sure we’ve ever lived in a time when fashion was so broad and open to individual taste. Designers design - but with such a huge proportion of consumers buying pre-owned it’s much more difficult to fence in any particular thing as being definitively this season.

Addendum - Not sure Zara has its full quotient of frocks right now. But I should have said - the one place that has an incredibly high profile regarding dresses right now is:

I’d imagine that in any sizeable gathering of women who can spend their own money on nice clothes, there’ll be one or two at least dressed in Me and Em.

Thank you! Maybe that's just it @Bailiwitch - there's just a really wide variety of styles out there at the moment.

You really can pick your style at the moment, so it's a question of what suits you!
Personally I'm wearing all kinds at the moment. Mini skater styles, pinafore dresses and jumper dresses whilst it's cold, shirt dresses. Summer will be all about the Boho maxi.
I keep hearing that the 90s slip dress will be coming back too....I am totally here for that!
