Facial moisturiser recommendations

driftingintheair · 04/01/2025 15:33

I am looking for new day & night moisturisers and looking for recommendations please.

Budget - up to £20 each.

Age 50, some eye fine lines and occasional redness but skin is otherwise good. Normal skin in colder months, combination in summer.

Have used Cerave, Aldi Lacura, Nivea, and Revolution Miracle recently.

Elemis for day cream, Monderma for night.
Both only 15ml for under £20 but wrinkle busters.

I've fallen in love with the No7 repair and protect ones. I think they're about £25 each (for day and night) but they're always on 3for 2.

I love the rituals spf and use that daily as a day moisturiser. It's lightweight but really moisturising. Before that I used the elemis superfood day cream (another good one if your skin objects to anything too heavy like mine does) but it was starting to get really expensive with increased price hikes and it turns out I much prefer the rituals one.

I go a bit rogue at night so I won't give any recommendations on that 😆

RITUALS® Karma - Sun face cream SPF 30 - 50 ml

The Ritual of Karma face cream SPF 30 provides consistent, high broad-spectrum protection, is water resistant and rapidly absorbed into the skin. The hydrating cream with Hydra-Boost Complex helps soothe dehydrated and thirsty skin to restore supplenes...

The Ordinary are best for cheap skincare.

I really rate the new Simple range.

Agree re Elemis

I like No 7 restore and renew

KittenPause · 05/01/2025 00:53

I'm mid 50's with no wrinkles

I use retinol and AhA acid but only once a week for each

I applied Alpha liquid gold AHA last night (it's very strong for me)

Tonight I applied Emma Hardie Brilliance facial oil on top of Mario badescu rose facial mist

Tomorrow I'll be applying No 7 Future renew serum followed by No 7 restore and renew night cream
