Happy new year. I am trying to budget better this year. I use the clairol root touch up to cover grey hair between hairdresser appointments. I just do the sides and my parting to cover the greys as the dye is quite dark.

My hairdresser is great but I am still spending about £80 every 6 to 8 weeks on a haircut and hair dye. I live in the North West and realise this is quite reasonable.

Has anyone used Clairol to dye all of their hair? I'm not very good at doing the back and don't want it looking very dark all over. Cheers

I do my own, the dye with Davina on the front which is a nice mid brown. I trim the ends every month or so, my hair looks fine

Have you got a college near you with a beauty / hair department? If so it would be worth investigating how much they would charge. Obviously they are training so be prepared for it taking longer etc but the saving could make it worth while.
