Has anyone tried Birkenstock trainers?

I love my Birkenstock sandals and want to buy some comfy trainers for walking around New York when we go on holiday.

Any reviews? Comfy or not?

Oohh nice! Love the tan ones

Love the clean look and imagine they are comfy, only concern would be the soft leather.

I have some lovely shoes in soft Italian leather and I scratched the leather so it tore slightly.

I have three pairs. I have a blue suede pair for the gym which have worn really well. A canvas decon pair for holidays and a pale pink pair that I haven't got around to wearing yet! I really like them. Same footbed so go for your usual birkie size. They have a wide toe box so plenty of wriggle room for your toes too. There's also a bit of extra cushioning, so very comfortable.

I must confess to being a birkie freak though as I've been wearing them for nearly thirty years and couldn't tell you how many pairs I now have. I can recommend the Highwood boots too. The leather that Birkenstock use is robust.

I've got the leather ones. Love the look but, for me, whenever I wear them, I end up with knee pains the next day.
