Black suede handbag

I’ve been looking for ages to find a black suede handbag preferably with a cross body strap. Medium size and suitable for daytime use.

Found this but really not keen on the brand.

Aspinal might be worth a look OP - I've always found their quality excellent and they have a good sale on at the moment.

Agreed, they have lovely bags but nothing in black suede.

Flattered do a lot of suede styles, they don't list all the colours on the overview but pretty much all the suede styles seem to be available in black.

Don't know what your budget is but if money's no object, Khaite do some really lovely bags in suede.

Wouldn't a suede cross body rub against clothing and then go shiny?
Any suede bag I've owned has leeched the dye, the price point made no difference.
I think they look great on other people they just don't work for me

@botemp I shouldn’t have looked up Khaite! Beautiful bags but way beyond my budget.

Can prob spend up to £250 ish.

Would you consider nubuck, its like suede but a bit more hard wearing and still feels great to the touch? there's this one by Pourchet that even has a leather panel on the side to the body to avoid the rubbing issue mentioned by pp. Strap is also in leather to avoid dye transfer and probably has a bit more longevity. I just don't know about shipping and taxes into the UK (I'm EU based) or if someone in the UK stocks it.

The coach bag does seem to exist in black, this picture was taken three months ago but apparently it's an outlet version link but they call it espresso which would suggest brown but it definitely looks black on my screen.

Here's an eBay listing for the coach in black suede, unfortunately it's in Japan but it also mentions being purchased in an outlet.

There's also a couple of Instagram posts from the last few months popping up of Coach outlet employees showing the black sued one, so if you're near an outlet I'd try there.
