Mylee Gel nails

Has anyone got any experience of using the Mylee gel nail Polish? I'm tempted to buy a kit and do my own nails but wanted to know if they are any good first

I use them and I’m happy. So much cheaper than paying someone every few weeks. I did have Christmas nails done but usually do them myself.

I’ve no experience but 2 of my friends have started using them and their nails look really nice.

I used them for a while, and although the products are good, I just wasn't very good at doing them, and they didn't last for 2 weeks like I wanted. So I've moved onto gel nail wraps, which I love!

My DD uses Mylee - it gets easier when you do it repeatedly .
She has the lamp , the base coat /top coat , uses the builder gel base .
It needs removed with acetone , she has the foil squares with the absorbant patch that wrap round the nail.

She uses other polishes sometimes layered in the base/top coat .

It's an outlay , IIRC the lamp was £50 .

When I did my own nails I found the blue sky brand was much better than mylee.

I do my own! I use the Mylee base/tops and the gels but I have an amazon 8 quid lamp and buy my acetone, remover wraps, buffers etc from Amazon and they're a lot cheaper than mylees. I love doing my own. If you like a nice red Mylee Magic Toadstool is the very best!

You can use any polish you like you just need a special top coat fir the UV

I use mylee and have done for several years now. Good range of colours and they last well (once you’ve got the knack). I use the magic dissolver stuff to remove rather than acetone as find it kinder to my nails.

Thanks all. It's nice to hear so many positive responses. Even with a bit of upfront cost it wouldn't take long to get that money back on salon costs etc. I think I'll give them a go

I’ve used it in the past and found it good. My lamp developed a fault and customer services were very efficient at replacing it.

Make sure you read up on the allergy risks and don’t mix and match brands.

I’m a novice as normally don’t have nails, however, having got a kit for Christmas I have twice done my own gel nails for first time ever. It’s so easy and they last a while. Really impressed as even helped strengthen my own nails.

I’ve got a meylee kit.

I used too but I damaged by over filling so just be careful. It was good though!
( I pay now and go to a beautician as the damage to my nails put me off)

MEESH25 · 01/01/2025 18:35

I do my own nails with Mylee polish, would never go back to the salon saves so much time and money. I recommend using clear BIAB as a thin base coat to keep you nails strong
