No more jeans!

I wear jeans 24/7 when not working. Getting bored of this and want to dress more ‘grown up’ - I’m almost 50 ha ha!! What do you wear when going for pub lunch or shopping with friends that isn’t jeans! Am size 14-16 and 5’10.

Unless it’s absolutely freezing l rarely wear jeans, currently only own 2 pairs of day to day trousers although occasionally wear leggings.

But my go to is dresses. I love my dresses, including winter weight long sleeved ones. Plus you don’t have to give thought as to which top goes with which bottom.

I’m the opposite to the pp, when it’s absolutely freezing is the only time I don’t wear jeans (not warm enough). And I like the permutations wearing separates gives you. I wear a lot of corduroy trousers. You could also look at wide leg trousers (corduroy or otherwise).

This winter it’s mostly:

Delicate floaty / translucent skirts with knee high boots and an enveloping tweed coat.

Or

Tailored wool twill / tweed / flannel trousers with maybe a velvet jacket and loafers or T bar shoes.

Or

Thick cords with a Shetland or cable knit sweater and ankle boots.

I wouldn’t consider wearing jeans in cold weather and have abandoned all my cotton chino type trousers until next spring.

I never ever wear jeans, I find them so uncomfortable. Around the house I wear Uniqlo ribbed cotton joggers. Out and about usually a pair of trousers from Beyond Nine, I think I have issues with texture and fabric and I find their stuff so comfy. Over summer usually a midi length dress of some sort.

I have three pairs of cords but mostly jumper dresses and knee boots

I just got some gorgeous elasticated barrel jeans that are so comfortable and look great! Also some other lovely barrel style trousers. (From a shop called Style Attic)

I'm the same and have started wearing elasticated wide leg trousers like this:

I wear them with Adidas Sl 72 og trainers. I'm in my 50s btw.

I've been wearing wide leg black trousers too. The ones I've got are like leggings, so soft, stretchy and comfortable - they have pockets and look smart.
I keep seeing the stretchy wide leg jeans on Facebook and I'm tempted to get some of those too.
