Skincare advice - suitable formula?

I've recently been using Skin + Me but can no longer afford the subscription.

Frustratingly it's worked wonders for my skin so I wondered if any experts could help me find a product / products to replace it.

Ideally ones where I can buy without needing to repurchase monthly! I'd love a cream / creams instead of serums as I have a young baby and to be honest I know if I have a complicated routine it will fall by the wayside so would love a simply one again - one or two creams in an ideal world.

The current formula in my Daily Doser is a cream I apply nightly.

It's a cream and says the active ingredients are Azaelic Acid 10% and Niacinimde 4%.

I currently have the latter in serum form from The Ordinary but no idea at what stage of a routine I would apply this - before / after moisturiser? Do I have to leave it on for 10 mins before adding the next 'layer' of skincare?

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Can answer any questions that will help with recommendations of course!

Thanks in advance 😊

Should have said, the combination that's working really well has been the Skin + Me daily Doser mentioned above, followed by the Nivea Q10 anti wrinkle pore refining extra light day cream. That's at night (even though it's a day cream).

In the morning I have been using the Garnier Viramin C serum 3.5% followed by the same Nivea moisturiser mentioned above.

This routine has worked super well so I can continue the morning combination.

Sorry, keep remembering things I do now! I use micellar water to cleanse before the day and night routine.

So the current successful routine is:

Morning

  • Cleanse with micellar water (this will soon be changing to the Tropic Radiance Cleanser which I was recently gifted)
  • Vitamin C serum 3.5%
  • Light day cream

Evening

  • Cleanse with micellar water (this will soon be changing to the Tropic Radiance Cleanser which I was recently gifted)
  • Skin + Me cream, Azaelic Acid 10%, Niacinimde 4%
  • - Light day cream

Did you never send the photos to skin and me? The formula you have isn't prescription so doesn't need the high price tag. You can buy those products from several places eg The Ordinary. Yes apply before moisturiser but I wouldnt bother waiting for it to sink in.

Do you wear make up? I'd say you'd need a better evening cleanser or use your micellar then a cream/ balm.

Use spf.
Consider increasing the percentage on the vit c.
Use an exfoliating toner.

My routine is very similar, it works well and is as simple and cheap as I can make it.
