Knee high boots

Hocuspoc · 30/12/2024 22:46

I am looking for leather just below knee boots, as classic as they come.

  • leather
  • no heel or low heel
  • almond shaped front
  • no elastic rubbery thing on the back - just leather allover
  • slim or extra slim
  • black
  • thinner sole rather than chunky.
I am not totally against straps or buckles if it is tastefully leaning towards rock type of style. Price range, ideally below 300. Somehow it is quite hard to find this :)

Ariat?

Yennefer44 · 30/12/2024 22:54

Duo boots ?

Hocuspoc · 30/12/2024 22:57

I like these, very clean, but there is something off with the foot part when looking from above - I wish the border was a little bit wider, not sure how to explain. The sole - if it was protruding a bit more from under the actual boot/sock.

Penelope Chilvers - they do a range of calf sizes in a number of different styles although the tassel is the classic.

Hskatkat · 30/12/2024 23:04

@Londonmummy66 that's the other brand/ name I couldn't remember it but the boots are really popular

Hocuspoc · 30/12/2024 23:04

I really like something like this:

The problem with these is they are low quality leather and synthetic inside (made in prc) but priced as if they are premium so can't really justify, and the sizing is off plus horrible reviews on trustpilot if I want to return...

These are really nice quality but not the style I am after. These have more of like an astec sort of vibe, or I could imagine myself in front of a hacienda wearing slim jeans, floral shirt and a cowboy hat.
And what I am after is sleek black zero pattern minimum detail. Just good quality durable leather.

Sorry - yes just spotted that they are way out of budget too.....

I wouldn’t class £200 for a leather boot as a premium price tbh. I think you’ll struggle to find good leather for your budget.

MessyNeate · 30/12/2024 23:44

I've spent DAYS searching for similar. Currently wearing Barbour boots from about 2 years ago and the zip is about to break, not keen on the new designs.

I've ordered these today!

They are discounted now, and true, not too expensive, but still.overpriced for the quality...they are more like zara or h&m boots.

I was thinking that 300 during the January discounts could get me something decent...
I've seen 500 boots in lk Bennett discounted to 199, so here is hoping:))
Also, for a perfect boot I'd be happy to pay more, the problem is that most look like they are stuck in 2005.

Yes you may find something in the sales.

Barneyscrubble · 30/12/2024 23:51

I have these, they’re definitely slim in the calf and are really comfortable.

CrotchetyQuaver · 31/12/2024 09:59

Tamaris brand or Fly London

This lot too, simple search of black boots. Some are in budget and others I suspect would be worth breaking the budget for.
I've just had to retire a pair of around 40 year old flat black leather boots that I remember spending a long time looking for. Made by Bally, they just went on and on, so worked out pretty cheap over the years! And really didn't look out of date.

Doggymummar · 31/12/2024 12:04

I got some from on Stuart Weitzmann via BrandAlley reduced from 900 to about 250

Hocuspoc · 31/12/2024 17:26

Wow some really nice recommendations here, thank you all!! :)
