Completely baffled by jeans

I need help.

Am 48, menopausal and have to a degree ‘lost my way’. I’ve put on weight, I’m a 14 with a tummy.

I used to wear Skinnies, mostly brands like Paige and J Brand, felt and looked good.

I have not found a decent pair of jeans for years now. Skinnies feel dated. All these baggy ones do nothing for my tummy. Also within a few hours they all go really loose and just look so scruffy.

I genuinely have no idea what to wear. I’ve looked in most places, including the M&S ones that posters recommend on here…I just look a mess or frumpy

please help!

Skinnies are back in apparently as everyone has finally realised all the wide leg and mom jean designs look awful on everyone. Grin

I used to do skinnies but agree they can be dated. I still wear them under longer shirt dresses.

I now wear levis, number 712 slim, they suit my shape. I'm 5 foot 2, slimmish but with an apple shape and a squishy belly, short torso, big boobs.

Annoyingly they slightly changed the 712 slims, they're a bit more flimsy feeling at the top than they used to be, but they're still the best I can find for my shape.

Forgot to say I'm early 50s.

@checkedcloth You could try straight leg jeans - they are narrower than wide legged and wider than skinny jeans. Straight legs suit most shapes.
