Cubitts specs - anyone know this brand?

I need to bite the bullet and get some new specs. Been looking around the usual high street stores and nothing is really grabbing me (apart from the ones I'm currently wearing!).

I've come across Cubitts, who have a store in my nearest big city. Really like the designs. Before I make the trek to take a look, has anyone got Cubitts frames? Do you rate them?

I do and I really rate them. I can't remember what the style is called but they're pretty chunky and in a translucent grey. I like them and loads of people have said positive things, so I've concluded they are noticeable in a good way.

Shop staff were good in the London one I went to, and you have loads of time to choose. Eye test was very thorough also. Obviously they end up much more expensive than their basic website price once you ask for varifocals/extras. C'est la vie, but I like mine A LOT!

P.s. I think mine are 'Frederick' in 'smoke grey'.

Chunky arms = good.

Love mine, have two pairs and also the rinky dinky clip on gold sunglasses so I can read in the sun. Mine are normal lenses so just the standard price - love them

Yes, mainly now buy my frames from Cubitts, as well as Ace and Tate. Cubbits are great quality and the service is good too. Once you have a style you like they often do frames in multiple colors so you can easily get a new pair online if you fancy a refresh and don’t need to change prescription.

I will never go anywhere else
now! Love how customisable the options are and the staff at my local store have been there for ages and are so helpful

Yay - responses!!! 👏 I was coming on to perform a hopeful bump.

Excellent to know - thank you all.

I need varifocals and already prepared to financially dig deep. Even with Boots, I come out sweating after being presented with the final bill.

Frames aside, how do lenses compare price wise with high street chains?

I'll be heading over to the Leeds store, btw. A bit of a trek but worth it, I think.

Just following this up: went to Cubitts today and came out with the 'Rosebery' style in Olive. Really good service - very impressed! Final cost only slightly more than the varifocals I picked up from Boots three years ago. Overall, very happy!
