Glowy foundation for someone allergic to shimmer

shimmer triggers rosacea in me, I now react to:

chanel vitalumiere aqua
dior forever glow
charlotte tilbury invisible veil stick
ct flawless filter
bare minerals powder
bobbi brown shimmer block
trinny bff

I think it’s mica and or bismuth. Makes skin swollen, red and sore like sunburn (rather than rash). I have Jones Road WTF which is fine but not enough coverage and too rich for my combo skin.

Anyone have this and know what the allergen is ? And found a decent foundation ? I am 49 with combo skin

thanks

Have a look at Westman Atelier, the founder has rosacea and formulates with that in mind, they do a stick foundation and a skin tint. The latter is probably glowier (but I personally prefer the Lisa Eldridge tint linked above) but the stick foundation is very nice for a natural healthy type look iykwim.

In similar vein, it cosmetics was also founded by a Rosacea sufferer but I think most of their products are more on the matte/full coverage side.

Ooh thank you. I did try IT Cosmetics as I heard the founder had rosacea but really wasn’t good (no mineral I’ve tried have worked)

got a few days off after Christmas so can go try them on

thanks again

Estee Lauder Futurist is amazing. They're good at giving testers out of you ask so you don't waste money on something that's no good.

Elf halo Glow is beautiful

Stunning @fivebyfivebuffy ! Which product is that exactly? What's the coverage like?

Have you tried lancome ultrawear care and glow foundation. I have horrific dry skin and I've recently discovered this and it's been a gamechanger. Previously used armani but this is much better and I love the glow to my skin when I wear it.

Estée Lauder futurist foundation
I would say a solid medium to full coverage
Not as full as double wear

Reason candid glow is nice, dewy finish and also great for very dry skin. Long lasting and a lovely finish.

I threw out the box so I can't tell if it has mica etc, but from the finish I don't think so as I hate anything shimmery.

Also it's about £10 a tube.

Thanks, sadly our local Boots was very depleted so I’ll head into London once I’m back at work in the new year and try stiff on it even better ask for samples, it takes a day or two to react annoyingly

glad there’s still choices though
