Self-tanning - I've just realised I am wearing an off the shoulder top for Christmas. Looking for subtle, build up tan...

What would you use to just give me a bit of gentle colour, ideally building up over a few days so I can then apply it a couple of times into the New Year - gorgeous top which I am expecting to get a lot of use!!

Why do you want to look like you have a tan ..... in December? Confused

Are you in Australia?

I’m very pale and use Garnier summer body (dark). It’s a gradual tanning moisturiser, I apply it at night after a shower with marigolds on so it doesn’t stain my hands. It does feel sticky on the skin since it’s a moisturiser, it doesn’t really dry down. I apply it for 2-3 nights and put it on my hands the last night. I shower the following morning to get rid of some of the sticky feeling and after that it’s perfect :)

Because some people want to look like they have a tan all year round? Is it really that difficult to understand?

@TattedBarley great advice thanks and I like Garnier products....

At the mo, I still have a tan from the summer but with bikini strap marks so keen to mellow it a bit and meld....
