Biab help please🙈

I am due to have biab done on Friday for Christmas but i am wondering if I'd be wasting my time and my nail techs time. My nails have been shit for the past few years. Thank you menopause. I have posted about them before but right now they are paper thin and they are just tearing like pieces of tissue. Some have torn down quite low down on the nail.

I know biab is supposed to help but would it help in this instance with them being so crap?

Any nails techs or anyone with advice please?

I have very thin nails, and biab is amazing for my nails. It's so much stronger than normal gel. It isn't a fake nail, so it doesn't make your nails longer, if it's additional length you need.

If you need length on particular nails, get an extension on those nails and the BIAB on the rest. It's great, enjoy!

No length need. Nails are just tearing so they are as short as can be.

They will still look very short after your appointment but the biab will allow them to grow without breaking so in about 3 weeks they will look a lot better.

I discovered BIAB thanks to MN S&B OP - my nails were in a shocking state and BIAB was an absolute game changer, I am now having to relearn to type, do up necklaces etc etc because my nails are actually long!!! Go for it, you won't look back.

I have had biab before. The biggest issue is that my nails grow very quickly and tbh I don't have €40 every 2 weeks. The biab is half way up.my nails within 10ish days. I'm at a loss really. I've tried hair, skin and nails in various brands, am on hrt and still having the issue.

I spoke with nail technician today. She won't do my nails as they are so bad. 😭

Just get some Essie ridge filling anti age base coat. Do 2 coats and then nail varnish and top coat. It won't chip and will last a week and protect your nails. My friend also swears by nail wraps. A bit of a faff to apply but once you get the hang of them they also stay on for a week or two and protect the nails allowing them to grow stronger 💪.

@Chillilounger

Do you have a pic of this product. I've googled and getting various different results. I'm in Ireland so it may not actually be sold here.

TIA

The nail wraps? Try Holy Grail Nail. The classic are just stick on, the others need UV lamp.

Oh no sorry...I meant the Essie ridge filler. I thought I said in my post but clearly didn't... opps
