Just as the subject says, my 12 year old has asked for something very specific, a mustard or ochre yellow fleece dressing gown.

Have searched online but everything is covered in things (Tsmagochi or football team logos) and he wants it plain.

If you have seen something that would meet the criteria please share it with me!!

Debenhams have some that might fit the bill

Thanks @Theyweretheworstoftimes but the only yellow one is a woman’s one, I’m not sure that’s going to be suitable. Thanks for looking though.

I bought xs and s women’s dressing gowns for my sons when they were 10-13 and wanted something plain. Worked very well and gives lots of options colour wise.

Blueuggboots · 14/12/2024 21:22

Could you buy a white one and dye it?

3luckystars · 14/12/2024 21:23

An adults small or xs should be fine for a 12 year old.

It's a dressing gown, unless it's covered in flowers there's no structural differences between men's and women's.

Agree - my son is 12 and we bought a small men’s

Unless you tell him it's a woman's one, how is he going to know?

Why?

Rainbowshine · 15/12/2024 11:26

DS is a small slim 12 year old, so I had ruled out adult gowns but maybe I should consider XXS sizes for him.

Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll look today at them

Why?

Yes, how does a dressing gown become a "woman's" one?

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 15/12/2024 13:17

This is the range Theyweretheworstoftimes was referring to.

Debenhams (pointlessly) describe it as a "woman's dressing gown"

The only relevant distinction might be length.

Mustard dressing gown

Theyweretheworstoftimes · 15/12/2024 13:29

I feel like I have opened a can of "dressing gown" worms 🤦‍♀️

3luckystars · 15/12/2024 13:51

I have made a few dressing gowns as gifts, men and women’s are the exact same patterns. I hope you find what you are looking for, good luck.
