Elemis HELP!!

Modernfamily2011 · 13/12/2024 21:30

Can anyone help me with recommendations on Elemis please?
I’m early 40’s and have v sensitive skin and I really, really want to make a change!
I’ve had a few facials this year and I was recommended to use the Hydropeptide Brand which is also quite expensive but my skin is still quite dry
I really want to try Elemis moisturiser but there’s so many, i’m not sure which one to use… I tried the skin analysis which gave me the recommendation for the Pro Collagen day cream but it looks quite light and I think i need something heavier
is anyone an expert on here that can help please?

The pro collagen is supreme. I've tried most of their creams, but not their hydropeptide. Scent is divine and it makes your cheeks feel plump.

My skin is sensitive and dry, it looks amazing if I use the pro collagen marine cream but sadly it costs an arm and a leg so I usually only use it when bought as a gift. QVC do often have good deals on Elemis so worth keeping an eye out .

Yes, it is dear... what a cream though.

Try this as well for a wrinkle reducing night cream. £6 on offer.

Modernfamily2011 · 13/12/2024 22:09

I don’t mind paying but I guess my question was is it worth it? And which one to get as there are quite a few of them 🤣
there’s a Pro Collagen Day cream
pro collagen day cream anti wrinkle
pro collagen morning matrix
I wasn’t sure which one to buy

@fireplacetiles - does it help with the dryness? Do you use the Pro Collagen day cream or the Morning Matrix which is even more expensive 🙈

Pro collagen marine cream is the best in my opinion. I use it morning and night. I used to have dry, sensitive skin but a good skincare routine cleared it up and it's now supple and hydrated.
Gentle exfoliation is great to prep your skin, the papaya enzyme mask and glow boost exfoliator are great. The facial oils are good for using before your cream at night to help keep in moisture. I love Elemis, as you can probably tell! It seems to suit my skin. Definitely look on QVC for the deals. I think there is a current one that includes a cleanser, toner & the pro collagen marine cream and some other products.

Modernfamily2011 · 13/12/2024 22:27

@OtisPotis thank you! I have been looking at QVC but I wasn’t sure which moisturiser to get, I do exfoliate as well but I honestly think I need a better brand as my skin is still v dry (despite drinking lots of water)
do you use a night cream as well?

My skin reacts badly to the Elemis PCMC which is such a shame, as it has never reacted to anything in any other brand. I get lots of spots on my cheeks.

OvaHere · 13/12/2024 23:03

The Elemis PMC is a nice rich cream so I can't imagine you wouldn't like it.

However if you're looking for something very moisturising can I also recommend Tatcha The Dewy Cream for consideration which is a similar price point and very hydrating. You can buy 10ml pots of it to try out before committing to a large one.

fireplacetiles · 13/12/2024 23:48

I use this one, it really helps with the dryness yes and have had no issues with sensitivity.

PMC is amazing. So is Elemis skin cleansing balm.

For those saying it's pricey, if you have FB I'm part of a group called QVCSell - we ❤QVC. Basically it's when people buy sets from QVC and sell parts of it on as they don't want it. The prices are less than half price of the retail price as the mods have set fair prices for everything. You just pay by PayPal. It's fab and I get all my Elemis from there now.

PCMC fan here too, I love that the texture is so light. You can get in an ultra-rich formula which I sometimes buy over the winter months. As pp have mentioned QVC have great deals from time to time, if you follow Keeley Aydin on Insta or FB she gives great advice on which products to use for various skin types and a heads up for dates when the deals are coming out.
I'm a big fan of the cleansing balm and overnight matrix too.
