Can anyone help me find a rust/terracotta/burnt orange slim fit polo or turtle neck to wear under a khaki wool dress with open neck?

Just that really - I've looked in the obvious places like M&S, John Lewis, Uniqlo (though there's one that might work)... It's not this year's colour unfortunately!!

Hopefully spending under £40 or perhaps under 60... though if it's utterly gorgeous and I'd wear with jeans, I guess £100

Perhaps even chestnut but probably not, so I can wear my longish khaki wool dress with chestnut boots and an autumnal top

A good old fashioned clingy polo neck that doesn't add bulk when worn under something

I'm a size 12/14 - probably 12 for this as I'm a tall hourglass figure and want it to hug my body.

Kettlewell Colours.
Whenever I need/want a specific colour I always check there first.

What great suggestions! I'm feeling more optimistic that with your help I might find the perfect top!

Far too expensive, but IMO absolutely gorgeous, is this one from Toast. It shows up on my screen all the time and I yearn for it 😀

Cos Orange merino turtleneck top. It is very lightweight, I could see my hand through it close up,but it ticks all the boxes.

I have this one in "rusted", mine isn't as bright as the photo looks on my phone screen:

@TheLongRider that's gorgeous - and @Zinglenibber those are great.... these are definitely my two favourites so far. I'm just going to have to decide how extravagant to be....

I've plumped for Cos - really gorgeous

And loving those Seasalt tops - annoyingly sold out in my size in the stripes and blue pattern I like but going to come back to them in the new season, gorgeous designs

If you don't have a Seasalt shop near you, it's worth noting that the website has the actual garment measurements in addition to the dress size. I wish more retailers did that.

Edited to add I just looked up the tops you mentioned and the smaller sizes are gone too, so my info isn't as useful as I thought it might be. Sorry! I love that blue patterned one too.

Thanks @Zinglenibber - really worth knowing that they do that! A great find and looking forward to their new season designs
